What I Do
I have studied a variety of eastern and western modalities. I usually use a bit of everything. I can separate styles when requested, but I find that most people enjoy my synthesis of techniques. I can do very deep work when desired, and I am especially good with old injuries and chronic pains such as stiff necks and frozen shoulders.
I studied Swedish and Shiatsu at the Western Institute of Science and Health, now known as Sonoma College. I studied Ayurvedic massage and body treatments at the School of Ayurveda and Panchakarma in Kannur, Kerala State, India. I took instruction in Kiatsu from the Shin Buddo Kai school of Aikido in Austin. I am fortunate to have had such wonderful teachers.
In addition to this I have recieved training at nearly every spa that I have worked for. I have worked at some of the best spas in San Francisco. I also have completed one month of training at the Harding Brothers Spa Academy in Southampton, England, and worked for a while in one of their cruise ship spas.
